I am Iliana Sun and I am a student at Duke. In summer 2016 I spent five weeks at Berlin and I had a chance to talk to people in Berlin, whether they were local or not. 

Along the way I did the Story of Berliner photo project. I took my camera with me and talked to different people I encountered. I was fascinated by their life stories and the ideas they had about a variety of things. After the conversations I took pictures of them or objects that belonged to them so that I could tell their stories. 

At the end of my stay in Berlin I had a photo exhibition with other photography students and some of the photos in my project were exhibited along with my sketches and notes.
